Markdown versions of documentation pages are available by appending `.md` to page URLs; this page is available as [Markdown](https://docs.aligned.ch/aligned-elements-web-client-user-manual/3.2.300.26398/get-started/enter-design-control-items/inserting-images-in-attributes.md).

# Inserting Images in Attributes

Rich Text and Table Attributes can contain images.

Note that Aligned Elements **does not compress images**, neither when inserting them into test cases nor when re-scaling them in test cases.

Pasting in a very large image and then rescaling it to a very small visible size does not result in a compression. The image is stored (and therefore also loaded) with its original byte size.

It is advised to resize/rescale/compress images before inserting them in Aligned Elements.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.aligned.ch/aligned-elements-web-client-user-manual/3.2.300.26398/get-started/enter-design-control-items/inserting-images-in-attributes.md?ask=<question>
```

The question should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
